Hala Gear
Inspired by product innovation, BLKDG focused on the culture and personality of a best-in-class watersports brand.
Hala Gear, born on the banks of the Yampa River, started with a vision to create gear for whitewater stand up paddling and has emerged to lead the way in the design of inflatable boards. This vision has since spread beyond the river to offer incredible SUPs and accessories in every segment of the sport. Through design and development, this site was crafted from the touch of the SUP’s to the knowledge and expertise of a professional SUP shop owner.
Our Role
BLKDG collaborated with Hala Gear to overhaul their e-commerce experience from the ground-up, beginning with replatforming a decaying Woo-commerce site to a custom enterprise level Shopify Plus platform. The main goal was to build a custom web platform that performed just as well on mobile as it did on desktop, encouraging an increase in mobile conversions along the way.
